A Chinese Conspiracy Theory
It’s mid 2019 and Hong Kong students are pushing back against China. They are demanding representation in government, their freedom and liberty.
Hong Kong is a Chinese territory, but some people of Hong Kong have had enough. They are going to march, demand rights, liking to a democratic country.
They demonstrate and stop the normal flow of business in this international and cosmopolitan city.
Beijing sits back and gives warnings. Leadership in Hong Kong give some concessions, the protestors demand more. They want to protect the freedom of future of Hong Kong. They city of their birth, the city they love.
Sympathizers grow in the mainland. They watch with anticipation.
Beijing is worried. They can’t control a nation of billions when they demand democracy. They’ll lose their power, their relevance, their control.
Having protestors in Hong Kong is one thing, but they can’t have this in Shanghai, Beijing and in China. It would mean the end of the Chinese Communist Party. Much like the demise of the old Soviet empire, an uprising by the people, would ensure the end of the CCP.
December 2019, we hear of a strange respiratory flu inflicting the people of Wuhan China. By February 2020, there is a complete lockdown of the region. Tens of millions of people are ordered to remain at home. Information about the virus is opaque. Rumours are flying. Conspiracies spread.
They claim it’s from a wet market, from eating bats. Bats that have likely been a delicacy for hundreds, if not thousands of years. A few miles away, there is a level 4 biolab, known for doing Corona Virus research.
The country is in lockdown. Nobody is to leave their homes. Drones fly overhead to monitor the people. Hong Kong is also on lockdown. Soon, the virus spreads to Taiwan, Korea, Japan and neighboring countries.
The CCP is in complete control. They wage a propoganda blitz to demonstrate their efficiency and necessity. Their response to this “deadly and novel virus” is unprecedented. They mobilize their population, in the most draconian manner. The CCP is waging a propoganda war. A marketing campaign to their own people. The CCP is necessary. The CCP works. The CCP cares about its people. This novel virus is deadly, and the CCP saved your life. You need the Chinese Communist Party.
The freedom demonstrations in Hong Kong, appears to have abated.
